DIAMOND: Diamond section is by far the most popular choice of scroll rod. It is heavy and has remarkable strength which gives excellent resistance to thrust and torque loading. Clearance of cuttings is most efficient, aiding fast drilling and achieving very smooth holes. Diamond sections are available solid or hollow.		TURBINE: Turbine section is suited to abrasive drilling conditions. The flat edged wing offers a larger surface area to the wall of the hole, which results in effective wear resistance. Turbine sections are also available solid or hollow.
