Q - Does Hardrock Mining Products supply clockwise and counter-clockwise twisted Auger drill steel?
A - YES. Hardrock Mining Products supplies both of the above at the customer’s required pitch for either rotary or percussion drilling.

Q - What lengths of Auger steel do you supply?
A - Hardrock Mining Products can supply Auger drill steel from 10” up to 40 feet in length.

Q - What’s the hardness of Hardrock Mining Products drill steel?
A - Hardrock Mining Products drill steel is hardened to 55 rockwell for hard rock drilling and to 40 rockwell for soft rock drilling.

Q - Are the flights on your Auger drill steel welded?
A - NO. Hardrock Mining Products Auger drill steel is manufactured in one piece giving us the advantage of supplying a fully heat treated product for better wear resistance.

Q - Do you supply extension Auger drill steel ?
A - YES. Hardrock Mining Products can supply Extension Auger drill steel to customer specifications.

Q - What type of Auger drill steel would you suggest for hard and soft rock drilling conditions?
A - For hard rock drilling, we suggest TURBINE section Auger drill steel. For soft rock drilling we suggest Diamond section Auger drill steel.

Q - Are all your drill steel heat-treated?
A - All Hardrock Mining Products manufactured for drilling in hard rock stratas are carburized to a hardness of 55 rockwell. All Hardrock Mining Products manufactured for drilling in soft rock stratas are heat-treated to a hardness of 40 rockwell.

Q - Does Hardrock Mining Products supply tapered JACKLEG drill steel?
A - YES - Hardrock Mining Products supplies JACKLEG drill steel with 7 – 11 – and 12 degree tapers, as well as most traditional mining products.

Q - Does Hardrock Mining Products supply drill bits and accessories?
A - YES - Hardrock Mining Products supplies drill bits and accessories as resale items to compliment our Auger and traditional products.

Q - Do you supply hollow rods for air or water flushing ?
A - Both Turbine and Diamond Augers are available in hollow or solid.
