Hard Rock Mining Improves Quality Standards
Having conformed to an internationally recognized quality management system for a number of years, Hardrock Mining Products has decided to implement an in-house QUALITY ASSURANCE PROGRAM that is based on a known internationally recognized standard and monitored by Ciammaichella & Associates Inc. (www.isosolutions.ca). This recognized Canadian company will monitor Hardrock Mining Products Quality Assurance Program with documented internal quality audits of Hardrock Mining Products processes on a two (2) month basis.
This will allow Hardrock Mining Products to react to any required changes in operating procedures and maintain a higher level of conformance that will meet or exceed external regulatory bodies.
TWIST-HEX
Expanding on old technology, Hardrock Mining Products manufactures a new type of drill rod called TWIST-HEX. The TWIST-HEX drill rod is available for Jackleg, Stoper, Roof-Bolting and Jumbo drill rigs.
Hardrock Mining Products added a TWIST to conventional Hex drill steel. Because of it’s twisted configuration, the TWIST-HEX drill rod has less potential to jam in the drill hole. The cleansing action of the drill steel is more pronounced, cuttings and small rocks are more easily ejected from the borehole. Drilling costs are lowered as fewer bits and drill steel are lost. Vibration and metal fatigue are less evident, increasing rod life.
HARDROCK WORM
The Hardrock Worm specialty drill steel product is best suited for soft rock stratas. The flat edge of the drill steel offers a larger surface area to the borehole wall, which results in effective wear resistance. Since there is no center core in the drill steel, the flushing action is enhanced. The Hardrock Worm drill steel is the most economical product manufactured by Hardrock Mining Products.
INDUSTRIAL AUGER AND ORNAMENTAL STEEL PRODUCTS
Hardrock Mining Products also has the capability of twisting industrial Augers as well as ornamental steel. Hardrock Mining Products industrial Augers differ from the traditional centre core driven Augers. There is no centre core in a Hardrock Mining Products Industrial Auger. Plate steel is twisted to full width, forming a full pitch Auger with no centre obstruction, allowing for greater flow of material. Various widths and thicknesses are available.
